Also to study alien life, get some kinda medbay going up in here, make friends, live up to Starfleet's expectations and training, and generally be nice to everyone (though sometimes that may be passive-aggressive nice if you act up).

Suggestions: Ancient evil in space. Finding abandoned places and trying to figure out wtf happened to everyone there. Crazy alien viruses etc. Oxygen/power/fuel/gravity issues on the ship.
